Dragonfable FAQ and Answers

Dragonfable FAQ and answers

Sometimes I forget a few facts here and there, so I’m posting and answering recent searches for Dragonfable that people have made on this blog. I’ll try to answer at least one a day, if any.

*Vocab! Vice versa means “opposite.” :D

Someone searched on World of Graphix: Where is the Town Hall?

The Town Hall is located in Falconreach. Now that the game has gotten bigger and things have been moved around, it is located elsewhere in the town.

From main Falconreach, head to the right until you reach the pet shop. Then you’ll see a pathway south – go down there, and then go left past the fountain and barber salon until you reach a building with a sign with a crown on it. If you go in there, you’ll be in Town Hall.

Someone searched on World of Graphix:  How do you get defense points?

Defense points can only be gained by equipping items which will boost your defense. Defense cannot be trained.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: How to get a Wind Scroll?

Wind Scrolls can be obtained from the Wind Temple quest (you can get there by walking to Rolith, then clicking Dracolich, then Wind Temple.)

Someone searched on World of Graphix: What is a Heart Elemental?

Heart Elementals are special elementals which only appear specifically during Hero’s Heart Day (aka Valentine’s Day), in the Hero’s Heart Day quests.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: How do you become a Dragon Rider?

Sorry, but I will have to do more research on this subject for now.

Someone searched on World of Graphix:  How to get a Battle Core?

Battle Cores can be obtained from Dr. Voltabolt’s quests.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: Can a rogue carry two daggers?

Yes, only Rogues can wield two daggers at once.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: What monsters drop Dragon Coins?

Sadly, unlike AdventureQuest, there are no monsters in Dragonfable which drop Dragon Coins. The only way to obtain DragonCoins without paying is to win a contest offered by the AE staff.

However, recently a new program called the AExtras program allows you to take surveys and earn free Dragon Coins.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: What class are wands for in Dragonfable?

Wands are for mages specifically, however they can be wielded by other classes though not effectively.

Most wands found in Dragonfable can only be equipped by DA holders.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: Weaknesses of Monsters

Looks like I may need to elaborate on this subject a bit more. If you want to know about resist and how to figure out monster resists and weaknesses, scroll to the bottom of the page at 9/12/08.

What I am about to tell you right now does not apply to all monsters, but applies to monsters in general.

Type – Weakness

  • Water – Fire, and vice versa
  • Stone – Wind, and vice versa
  • Metal – Energy (this mostly only applies in Dr. Voltabolt’s challenge)
  • Darkness – Light, and vice versa
  • Clockwork - Water (only really applies in Ruins of Kordana)
  • Metal – Water (again, only really applies in Ruins of Kordana)
  • Energy – Water, and vice versa
  • Nature - Fire, and vice versa
  • Darkness – Silver (this mostly only applies to Undead monsters, werewolves in particular.)

There are always exceptions but this is how it usually is.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: How do I get Defender’s Medals in Dragonfable?

Defender’s Medals can only obtained by doing one of the following:

Playing and winning the Fires Over Oaklore quest, given by Sir Baumbard in Oaklore

Participating in a war and defeating a wave of enemies

It is much easier to get Defender’s Medals by participating in wars, however wars don’t happen every month. The alternative is the Fires Over Oaklore quest which may be tedious and difficult to finish.

Defender’s Medals can be spent like money in certain places like some merge shops. They are stackable items and are classified as resources.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: Can you lose your Dragon Amulet?

No, the DA is a one-time fee, unlike Club Penguin or some other games in which a monthly fee is required. It is not possible to lose your DA.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: When is Final Strike learned in Dragonfable?

All classes learn Final Strike (Rogue), Final Blast (Mage), or Final Blow (Warrior) at level 18. It costs 5 MP and attacks with a gauranteed critical hit.

9/16/08

Someone searched on World of Graphix: When do I unlock my fireball attack as a mage?

Mages unlock 4 special moves at lvl6 – Fireball, Ice Strike, Wind Strike and Lightning. All cost 5 MP each.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: Dragonfable where stat points

Stat Points can’t be found. The way it works in Dragonfable is that, once a player levels up the player receives a full heal in addition to +20 to maximum HP and MP, and 3 stat points. Stat points can be used to increase stats such as STR, INT, and LUK. Once you have some stat points you can visit either Rolith (in Oaklore) or Sir Render (in the Town Hall, the building with the crown sign in Falconreach), and click Stat Trainer. From there you can train stats.

Someone searched on World of Graphix: Dragonfable element weaknesses and strengths

I understand that I forgot to type this on the page, so I will quickly answer it here.

In Dragonfable, there are no rules which state exactly what element they are strong or weak against, nor by how much. The only way a player can determine an opponent’s strength or weakness is by clicking the little question mark next to the opponent’s stats. Once clicked a window will open up which, on the right-hand side, is a black box that reads Resists (if any.) There you can tell what the opponent is weak or strong against. For example, if the resists are shown like this:

Fire:  -100

Ice: 100

Then the opponent has 100 defense against Ice and -100 defense against Fire, which means that if attacked with an Ice weapon the opponent will not receive any damage. If attacked with a fire weapon, however, the weapon will do more damage than usual (I’m sorry to say I don’t know how to calculate just how much.)

However in some cases things like this show up:

Shrink: 50

Immobility: 10

Ice: 200

It should be noted that Shrink and Immobility are NOT ELEMENTS! It simply means that the opponent has an extra chance of NOT being shrunk, and an extra chance of NOT being stunned (this includes Distract and Sleep, too, for mages and rogues.) When an opponent has 200 defense against an element, however, that means that if attacked with Ice the opponent will GAIN HP instead of LOSE HP, so be especially careful.
